Help your kids with hand writing

September 21, 2009

We have two young boys in the early writing stages (one really early stages, he’s 3) and my wife asked me to make up some writing practice sheets for them.

Here is a good font you can use to make worksheets so they can practice their names or any other words you can think of.

For Windows, extract the Trace__.TTF file to a folder on your hard drive, then copy the TTF file into your “C:\Windows\Fonts” folder and it will automagically install. Then you can open Word or Wordpad and choose the Trace font type and a large point size and start typing their practice words. The bigger the better for the young ones, plus they always learn capital letters first, so start the really young writers on something like 72 or 60 point size and all caps.
