Pictures from China’s celebration of 60 years of commie rule
These are definitely some impressive displays of coordination and discipline, I’ll give them that much.
However, what I find most disturbing is not the military might of China, but the western media and liberals reactions to the anniversary. Should we really be lighting up the Empire State Building to celebrate this?
Congratulations on repressing your people!
Good job killing millions of babies through forced abortion!
Congrats on the Tienanmen Square Massacre!
You are such a great country!
America what has happened to you?
I did not watch Obama’s U.N. speech today, I don’t think I could stomach it really, but here is a comment from Rich Lowry that I hope everyone would consider.
“The yearning for peace is universal,” Obama said. Of course, so is the yearning for war, or it wouldn’t be endemic to human existence. Speeches like this are always going to be aspirational, but is it really too much to ask that U.S. presidents be a little more modulated, sociologically humble, and realistic?
|Is it really behind the comprehension of liberals that there may be some leaders of the world that, given the right opportunity, would start a war for personal/national gain. Don’t tell me that’s what Bush did, because it isn’t. I’m talking Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin type dictators – like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or his Mullah puppet masters. Modern civilization is not immune to war. We ignore history and reality at our own peril.|
This should go over about as well as the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009 (H.R. 2749) that attacks farmers markets and roadside veggie stands like one my grandpa used to run. How much of this do they think we can take? Are they trying to make us mad? Hey Federales, its working!
The “Resale Round-up,” launched by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, enforces new limits on lead in children’s products and makes it illegal to sell any items that don’t meet those limits or have been recalled for any other reason.
How many people who have rummage sales keep up with recall lists? Probably zilch.
In order to comply, stores, flea markets, charities and individuals selling used goods — in person or online — are expected to consult the commission’s 24-page Handbook for Resale Stores and Product Resellers (pdf) and its Web site for a breakdown of what they can’t sell.
And the article talks about $100,000 to $15 million dollar fines – and no distinction between ordinary folks and big corporations. Fining a citizen for selling faulty toys at garage sale that much is about as stupid as fining a college kid millions for downloaded songs that might cost a few hundred dollars total.
Oh, but its for the children!
BUT OUT! We can take care of our own kids Big Brother!
Rath Peter’s article on the NY Post website is nothing but hard-hitting truth.
Instead of acknowledging that radical Islam is the problem, we elected a president who blames America, whose idea of freedom is the right for women to suffer in silence behind a veil — and who counts among his mentors and friends those who damn our country or believe that our own government staged the tragedy of September 11, 2001.
Read it all.
…to see us treat a fellow human being with dignity – no matter if he was the mastermind behind 9/11 and killed thousands of Americans.
This guy should be in shackles and never see the light of the sun again. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ve cleaned him up, fed him and enrolled him in the Hair Club for men.
But, I must say he does look less like my cousin Greg now. That’s a good thing.
So says a report from a White House panel of independent experts.
I used to be excited about the times we live in, but man, if there isn’t a conspiracy to kill all of my childhood dreams then I don’t know what else is going on.
Yes, NASA stinks and yes, the country is broke. But dog-gone-it Barack, I want to go back to the Moon! Make it happen! YES WE CAN? …
