Jimmy Carter, please shut it!

September 20, 2009 3 comments

Jimma, the worst president ever, has once again proven that not everyone gets wiser with age.

US might have been involved in 2002 Chavez coup: Carter

What is he thinking? Even if we were, would that be a bad thing? Let’s overlook the fact that he sites no evidence whatsoever.

But he also said he was worried by the Venezuelan leader’s drift towards “authoritarianism.”

Drift? Drift? More like full steam ahead towards authoritarianism communism.

How this man EVER came to be president of the USA, I have no idea, but I am proud to say that I had no part in it. I wasn’t old enough to vote. If I get this stupid when I’m old, someone please shoot me.

Big Government vs. Garage Sales

September 18, 2009 Comments off

New Government Policy Imposes Strict Standards on Garage Sales Nationwide

This should go over about as well as the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009 (H.R. 2749) that attacks farmers markets and roadside veggie stands like one my grandpa used to run. How much of this do they think we can take? Are they trying to make us mad? Hey Federales, its working!

The “Resale Round-up,” launched by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, enforces new limits on lead in children’s products and makes it illegal to sell any items that don’t meet those limits or have been recalled for any other reason.

How many people who have rummage sales keep up with recall lists? Probably zilch.

In order to comply, stores, flea markets, charities and individuals selling used goods — in person or online — are expected to consult the commission’s 24-page Handbook for Resale Stores and Product Resellers (pdf) and its Web site for a breakdown of what they can’t sell.

And the article talks about $100,000 to $15 million dollar fines – and no distinction between ordinary folks and big corporations. Fining a citizen for selling faulty toys at garage sale that much is about as stupid as fining a college kid millions for downloaded songs that might cost a few hundred dollars total.

Oh, but its for the children!
BUT OUT! We can take care of our own kids Big Brother!

Sonic Weapons at town halls in San Diego

September 17, 2009 1 comment

Saw this over at Fighting Janets and it is quite disturbing.

SONIC WEAPONS USED IN IRAQ POSITIONED AT CONGRESSIONAL TOWNHALL MEETINGS IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY

The device was stationed by San Diego County Sheriff deputies at a recent town hall forum hosted by Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-San Diego) in Spring Valley and at a subsequent town hall with Congressman Darrell Issa (R-San Diego). The Davis Rally drew an estimated 1,300-1,500 people, including vocal conservative and liberal protest groups. (photo credit: Mike Russell)

Incredible.
The police probably weren’t even needed amongst a crowd of freedom loving conservatives. What were they thinking? Why would the United States of America EVER need this device for domestic crowd control? Someone has a lot of explaining to do.

Uncle Sam Eyes Vehicle Tracking Tax

What an incredibly Orwellian idea. Doesn’t surprise me then that it came from a Democrat.

A Scandalous Affair by Kathryn Jean Lopez on National Review Online

I have seen these commercials on Fox News, mainly during presidential speeches or late in the night. First time I saw one I think my jaw hit the floor.

Its a sad commentary on our culture and I agree with Kathryn Lopez 100%. Marriage is important – we should be protecting it at all costs.

9/12 Protests in D.C.

September 12, 2009 Comments off

Hundreds of thousands protested the government (notice I didn’t say Obama or Democrats, but the government which includes Republicans) today over taxes, Cap & Trade Tax, Health Care, you name it.

Here is a time lapse video just so you can see that there were many thousands of people there.

WAKE UP Congress-critters and Obama, we’re coming!

[UPDATE]
From the American Thinker Blog: 9/12 demonstration a record DC turnout: National Park Service

Despite mainstream media attempts to characterize turnout as in the thousands, a spokesman for the National Park Service, Dan Bana, is quoted as saying “It is a record…. We believe it is the largest event held in Washington, D.C., ever.”

Betraying our dead

September 11, 2009 Comments off

Rath Peter’s article on the NY Post website is nothing but hard-hitting truth.

Instead of acknowledging that radical Islam is the problem, we elected a president who blames America, whose idea of freedom is the right for women to suffer in silence behind a veil — and who counts among his mentors and friends those who damn our country or believe that our own government staged the tragedy of September 11, 2001.

Read it all.

…to see us treat a fellow human being with dignity – no matter if he was the mastermind behind 9/11 and killed thousands of Americans.

<<extreme sarcasm>>

Photo of 9/11 mastermind at Guantanamo Bay released

bad guy

This guy should be in shackles and never see the light of the sun again. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ve cleaned him up, fed him and enrolled him in the Hair Club for men.

But, I must say he does look less like my cousin Greg now. That’s a good thing.
